The Beloved Community
Beloved community: a community in which everyone is cared for, absent of poverty, hunger, and hate. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reinvigorated the notion of everyone having the right to live in a Beloved Community - regardless of race, gender, age, etc. As a society, we have come a long way but still have far to go to reach this mountaintop.
As children of God, EACH of us has a responsibility to love and care for our neighbor. At Mount Welcome, we recognize that there are so many opportunities to ACT in faith and love.
Everyone can be great because anyone can serve!
To participate in the projects listed below, simply bring your items to the church campus and drop them off OR if you are an online family member, donate your items to a senior housing facility, homeless shelter or food pantry near you!
