Redeemed And Claimed

Redeemed and Claimed || Isaiah 43: 1-5 || Dr. LaRita Primrose
As we continue the Lenten inspirations, I want to share a little something in my heart about being "Redeemed and Claimed." You know, in Isaiah 43, there is this beautiful reminder where God says, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine."

It is such a comforting thought, right? Just knowing that we are personally known and claimed by name by God. It is like He's saying, “Hey, you are not just drifting through life unseen. I see you, I know you, and you belong with Me.”

Have you ever made a mistake, been rejected or failed at anything? Remember God reminds us that our mistakes do not define us, that our past do not own us! Our past does not get the final word, God does. Jesus has paid the price for us to restore us. He has paid the price for our freedom. Redemption restores what shame tries to erase. We are redeemed, not because we have earned it, but because He loves us!

God has called us by name. He says to us, “You are mine.” We are not abandoned, not forgotten, and not disqualified. Calling restores identity, we are personally known. He knows our story and He knows our strengths.

God claims us! We are covered and held! We are claimed by Him, who does not let go of us! Claiming restores belonging. We are His and nothing can separate us from God’s reach. Life shakes us, but it cannot claim us. Nothing is too far gone, too hard for God, or beyond His reach. In our everyday lives, which means we can walk with confidence, knowing that we are never alone. And whenever we face uncertainties or challenges, we can lean on that promise: we are redeemed and claimed by a loving God. These words are not suggestions; they are a declaration!
