His Sacrifice.
As this Lenten Season draws to a close, let us carry this journey with us each day. As the journey to Jerusalem was God’s PURPOSE, it is also true for us. As God took God’s final breath and gave it all away; as God fulfilled God’s purpose and sacrifice for us, let us consider what will we sacrifice for God?
As we were reminded on Good Friday, HIS SACRIFCE prepared a way for us to also show one another grace and mercy. HIS SACRIFICE taught us how to live as both human and divine. HIS SACRIFICE has shown us that sometimes we get weary along the way, sometimes we get thirsty, and sometimes we feel forsaken. BUT our cries are not in vain, HIS SACRIFICE has taught us that even as we may be wringing our hands in despair, our hearts must still open to help one another. Through HIS SACRIFICE we must not give up or give in because there is always something greater on the other side.
Prayer: God, my God, as I move through this journey toward your purpose, continue to give me the strength to give it all to you. Keep me reminded God that even in the crooked places, you can bring me through. In Jesus’ name, Amen and àṣẹ.
28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28
